Saucony s Fastwitch series is oriented to meet the needs of neutral runners, even pronators, who like to run fast in every race, or who are also looking for quality workouts at rather fast paces. This model from the North American company reaches its eighth release with a renewed upper, looking for more comfort, while maintaining the same performance as its predecessor, the Fastwitch 7

The Saucony Fastwitch 8 features a mesh design, which gives the model more breathability, but it also has a softer feel, free of seams. The mesh also helps to minimize foot irritation and even reduces the weight of the shoe. In this eighth version of the Fastwitch, Sauconys signature FlexFilm overlays, which serve to add extra support to the model, have not been omitted.

Same features as the previous version

So, in the rest of the composition of this Saucony flying model, things remain more or less the same. The most prominent features of the Saucony Fastwitch 7 continue to play a leading role in this eighth version, with the idea of offering the same running experience as its predecessor.

The midsole of the Saucony Fastwitch 8 is dominated by the presence of SSL EVA foam, which is presented in a double layer format in the midfoot area, with the mission of trying to correct mild pronation. But the benefits of this material also help to increase both rebound and durability, and even reduce the weight of the shoe.

In the outsole, as the American brand itself confirms, the PowerTrac compound can offer up to three times more traction compared to other similar materials. This traction makes the Saucony Fastwitch 8 also a model designed for competition on asphalt.

The technical specifications also remain unchanged, as the Saucony Fastwitch 8 maintains that low profile with a 4 mmdrop, and a slightly lower weight: 187 grams for the men's model, and 155 grams for the women's version. All in all, the Saucony Fastwitch 8 does not abandon its status as a minimalist running shoe.
