Photos Saucony Guide 10
1 / 6In the review of the Saucony Guide 9, our Runnea reviewer Alberto Cebollada Kremer valor that one of its most outstanding features was its voluminous midsole with the star technology EVERUN, "which curiously is not visible at first sight, but you can feel it as soon as you put them on". With this it can be said that the Guide 9 has been the revolutionary model of the saga that has marked the before and after.
However, Saucony continues to improve with each new update, and although the tenth version of the Guide is not a radical change from its predecessor, it does bring important new features, which can be summarized in three distinct sections:
- Renewed midsole design, looking for a more aerodynamic component.
- New upper mesh that offers greater dynamism.
- Improvedforefoot flexibility thanks to the incorporation of the Triflex sole.
Obviously, the Saucony Guide 10 continues to offer softer cushioning (EVERUN Topsole), capable of "guiding" the foot strike with stability, but this time with more consistency underfoot, thanks to the modified SSL (Saucony Super Lite) EVA layer, one of the most advanced materials of the American brand, whose double density allows controlling overpronation, increasing the reactivity of the shoe, while increasing its durability, and also reducing the weight of the model. Thus, the model reinforces the landing phase of the runner.
But speaking precisely about weight, it's time for a brief parenthesis. The Saucony Guide 10 manages to reduce its weight to 255 grams in a size 95 USA for men and 230 gr in a 65 USA for women, with the same drop of 8 millimeters.
Redesigned upper: more flexible, lighter and better fit
Another major new feature of the Saucony Guide 10 is in its upper. The redesign of the upper of the Guide 10 comes with an engineered mesh upper, which, in addition to providing greater comfort and lightness while running, provides a more adaptable fit. FLEXFILM heather seals also play a major role in making the shoe more flexible, lighter and with a better fit.
All this, added to the greater flexibility of the forefoot area, thanks to the incorporation of the TRI-FLEX sole, which gives more dynamism to the model, makes the Saucony Guide 10 produce that feeling of going faster without sacrificing stability or its cushioning capacity.
Strengths of the Saucony Guide 10
- Engineered mesh upper: Offers a lighter, more dynamic fit.
- EVERUN Topsole: Provides increased energy return and continued cushioning with every stride.
- SSL EVA: Increases the rebound and durability of the shoe, and also contributes to better control overpronation, as well as reducing its weight.
- TRI-FLEX outsole: Provides more flexibility in the midfoot structure and greater contact with the ground.
- FLEXFILM overlays: In addition to reinforcing the support of the shoe, it also contributes to the lightweight aspect.
