Year 2016

Introducing the Saucony Triumph ISO 3. Saucony s turnaround was marked with the release of the first version of the Triumph ISO, which raised the bar to the next level, entering that select club of one of the best shoes of 2015. A training option equipped with great cushioning for smooth transitions and a superior fit with the exclusive ISOFIT system.

However with the landing of the Triumph ISO 2, what came to consummate was not a new evolution, but rather a total redesign, from head to toe. A radical change in every sense of the word, despite maintaining the premium ISOFIT fit as the main hallmark of the model. Instead of the PWRGRID+ midsole, Saucony opted to incorporate the innovative EVERUN technology, a material that provides cushioning that adapts to the foot at each landing. The change made the second version of the Triumph ISO more reactive and softer to the touch, but also firmer at every impact.

That firmness is the aspect that has been revised and polished in the third release of the Saucony Triumph ISO. The original premise remains the same: to provide the runner with smoother, more fluid transitions, with better adaptation to the movement of the foot and with greater energy return. That is why the basic concepts remain the same as in its predecessor:

  • EVERUN Topsole: Throughout the midsole to achieve superior cushioning, ensuring softer, but also more dynamic landings. And completed with SSL EVA foam to reinforce that light shock absorption.
  • ISOFIT: Ensures a first class fit, capable of adapting naturally to the movement of the foot.
  • TRI-FLEX: New sole configuration for greater flexibility and improved foot strike transition, especially at toe-off.

Improvements brought by the Saucony Triumph ISO 3

Now, in the Saucony Triumph ISO 3 come the nuances, and the improvements, although they are rather small, are noticeable. And we are talking about the fact that this new update of the Triumph ISO 3 brings with it a couple of details that will not go unnoticed neither for the runner nor for his running performance.

On the one hand, the Saucony Triumph ISO 3 incorporates an increased landing zone with EVERUN in the heel area. This achieves maximum energy return in the rear of the shoe. In addition, the EVERUN on this occasion is located on the inside of the heel, while in the Saucony Triumph ISO 2 it was located on the outside, thus obtaining greater stability on landing.

On the other hand, the upper of the Triumph ISO 3 features a slight redesign, presenting two straps, and not three as in the Triumph ISO 2; and a new mesh, made with a material that provides greater comfort, and reinforces the fit of the model, favoring optimal stability, but also that freedom of movement in the toes.

The outsole of the Triumph ISO 3 remains practically unchanged, with no new adjustments. In addition, this latest version of Saucony 's iconic Triumph ISO 3 does not change its technical aspects, such as the 8-millimeterdrop, and its weight of less than 300 grams (around 297 grams).
