The Skechers Gorun Strada has been designed at the request of the winner of the Boston Marathon last year 2014 Meb Keflezighi. This model of the American firm is characterized by being a very cushioned shoe, which makes it ideal for long runs, quite stable and with excellent responsiveness. It is intended for runners with a medium build and a neutral stride. Its weight reaches 289 grams in the men's model and 226 grams in the women's version, while its drop is 8 mm.
The upper of this Gorun Strada model is seamless and has thermo-sealed reinforcements in the forefoot, midfoot and heel areas. It incorporates a mesh which, due to its density, is not as breathable as we would like. The tongue is elongated and quite soft. The last is quite wide.
Both the front and the back of the shoe incorporate a series ofreflective pieces to provide the shoe with greater visibility when light conditions are scarce and, thus, increase your safety when you go running.
The difference in height in the midsole area, more precisely between the heel (25 mm) and the forefoot (17 mm), gives the Skechers Gorun Strada a drop of 8 mm.
The main compound with which the midsole has been manufactured is the Resalyte TM in order to provide better cushioning and greater energy return.
The outsole of this Skechers Gorun Strada shoe has implemented a combination of three technologies: M-Strike to promote support in the midfoot area; GOimpulse Sensors, a kind of small circles in the forefoot area whose purpose is to provide a better experience and sensations when running; and Power Pillars, the latter to improve stability.
