The prestige of Skechers Perfomance has led it to become one of the world's leading manufacturers of sports footwear, with names such as Olympic medalist Meb Keflezighi, legendary Martin Fiz, and four-time Cross Triathlon world champion Ruben Ruzafa, being ambassadors of the brand, and wearing its shoes to run and compete at the highest level.
The brand from Manhattan Beach (California, USA) has long since gone beyond the borders of asphalt to position itself and carve out a niche in the trail running universe. There are two models that mark the way forward for Skechers Perfomance in trail territory. The Skechers GOtrail Ultra and the Skechers GOtrial. Although their common denominator is to improve the mountain runner's experience, the concepts they use are somewhat different.
In this way, the GOtrail family reaches its second version with a continuing line already seen in the original version of this trail model, but trying to offer superior comfort, versatility and stability. That is why the Skechers GOtrail 2 brings with it the same features and materials as the first edition. They do add a number of small modifications that aim to provide a more comfortable fit and more secure cushioning, and therefore a smoother, more stable and comfortable ride.
To offer that comfortable fit, the new update of the Skechers GOtrail 2 features an upper that is made with a multi-textured technical mesh, and through which the shoe not only gains in comfort but also offers a higher level of protection against external elements. In addition, in this section of safety and fit, the Skechers GOtrail 2 features a network of eyelets and laces that reinforce that secure fit. On the other hand, the internal support strap contributes to the GOtrail 2 's increased sense of secure stability.
As in the first edition of the GOtrail, these Skechers GOtrail 2 also incorporate the H2GO system with water resistant design.
Of course one of the star elements of the Skechers GOTrail 2 is its 5GEN cushioning midsole exclusive to the American brand. A cushioning capacity that is able to offer the runner enough cushioning to run through the bush in a secure, stable and dynamic way. The end result: atrail running shoethat stands out for its good responsiveness and great comfort.
Another interesting element of these Skechers GOtrail 2 is in the Dupont Hytrel technology: that characteristic plate that disperses pressure, offering optimal protection against impacts.
To top it off, and with the idea of offering the best running sensations in the mountains, the Skechers GOtrail 2 have a consistent rubber outsole, which stands out for its more aggressive geometry in order to provide better grip and greater traction on the terrain.
In addition, the reflective details of the Skechers GOtrail 2 also help to raise the level of protection and safety offered by this trail running shoe to the mountain runner.
Like its predecessor model, the second release of the Skechers GOtrail maintains a lowdrop of 4 millimeters, and what does vary slightly is its weight, which remains at 272 grams, thanks to the technical mesh of the new redesign of its upper.
