Today we bring a new edition, the Under Armour Fat Tire 3. In this version the trail running shoe of the American firm shows a clear difference with the highest possible level of cushioning combined with a great degree of adjustment and the Wild Wripper sole provided by the tire company Michelin. The difference in the structure of this model with the previous edition is more than obvious, the bootie style design has been left behind and they return to the first design. Perfect for those runneates who love mountain races and want to bet on the comfort of their feet on any terrain ensuring that the foot remains firm and stable.
Let's go into the features of this shoe from Under Armour. First and foremost is the Charged Cushioning midsole, which provides the maximum possible cushioning, and this compound is so soft that it adapts to the contours of the ground making a kind of limpet effect very useful in the mountains. It also has the molded Ortholite insole which prevents odor and the growth of bacteria that create that stench and promotes grip by means of an adherent effect surrounding the foot.
The Under Armour Fat Tire 3 stands out for having a consistent upper, and is that the layers by which it is composed provide a structure and superior support which avoids the instability of the shoe that can be caused by the height of the same. This is a great level of support that has always characterized the American firm. Also, welded textile overlays provide additional structure and support. Despite this, they have maintained a good level of breathability thanks to the lightweight composition of the upper and the breathability of the fabric by which it has been composed. On the other hand, the L6 BOA quick release system has been included, which is common in cycling shoes. As for the design, this new edition has gotten rid of the bootie-like structure of its predecessor, the Under Armour Bandit 2, and now sports a more refined aesthetic.
The Michelin Wild Gripper system prevails in the outsole, a rubber compound commonly found in tires that is combined with lugs that provide a high level of traction and grip that is hard to beat on any terrain. Generally, the structure of this area is voluminous and rounded based on the technique of various manufacturers of sports shoes with a wider surface that distributes the pressure of the foot evenly along the entire sole. The midfoot is thus used for a shorter and more agile stride.
Finally, in terms of technical specifications, this model has a drop of 8 mm. While the weight of the Under Armour Fat Tire 3 has been increased a little and exceeds the barrier of 300, plantadose in 325gr.
