The Under Armour SpeedForm Europa shoes are a breath of fresh air in the segment of stability shoes for overpronators. With a minimalist upper design in which they have opted not to fill the shoe with details that do not add any functionality, but at the same time retaining a modern and avant-garde touch, these lightweight shoes offer comfort and precision for our workouts.

The Europa joins Under Armour's recent line of stability shoes, as a shoe that according to the firm is designed to provide that extra support that some runners need, but also as one of the lightest shoes in its category compared to many of its competitors.

Upper features

Under Armour has built this shoe with an upper that keeps the heel in place and allows for better foot posture to prevent overpronation, thanks to an external TPU heel cup.

The entire upper of this shoe is covered with a mesh with fairly large holes which allow excellent airflow to the interior, under this mesh is a layer of fabric that helps protect the foot from the entry of external agents. It is important to note that the upper of these shoes is not waterproof at all.

The panels located in the midfoot section help to achieve a better closure and fit of the shoe, which also maintains flexibility. In the fit you can notice that the midfoot area is thinner, this allows to avoid uncontrolled movements of the foot during the race and achieve greater security in the step.

These side panels are attached directly to the shoe's laces, allowing the upper to be adjusted to the runner's foot width.

The tongue has a padded material that provides comfort during closure and, thanks to its size, fits snugly to the sides of the foot to prevent slippage.

In the case of the collar, this does not have significant padding, we could practically say that the collar consists only of the same material as the upper; in this case the TPU heel cup protector does all the work by maintaining the structure of the shoe and holding the foot inside the shoe.

Cushioning

To talk about the cushioning we will start with the inner insole, which offers a good feeling of comfort and cushioning when wearing the shoes, although it should be noted that the rubber material used for this compresses after a few kilometers of use, providing less cushioning feeling; this can be solved by placing an orthopedic insole or a more cushioned material to help counteract this feeling.

In the midsole we find the Charged Cushioning technology which offers a good response during the race. A feature of this material is that it does not absorb the energy of the impact, but returns it immediately, so we can experience a more energetic and fluid step.

Outsole

The sole of the Under Armour SpeedForm Europa makes use of a blown rubber which thanks to its nature helps control pronation while remaining soft to ensure flexibility and improve the toe-off phase.

Flex grooves are added to the outsoles to offer greater freedom of movement. To complement this, a Micro G unit located in the heel, consisting of a highly abrasion-resistant rubber, works in conjunction with the heel cup support to add control to the foot's movements.

The Under Armour SpeedForm Europa offers good features as a lightweight, functional stability shoe that will provide a good level of comfort throughout your run.
