Although the Zoot brand has lost some of its worldwide recognition in the running shoe world, its Zoot Del Mar edition has positioned itself as one of the best choices in athletic footwear, specifically in triathlon. Shoe fit

Zoot del Mar Outsole

For the construction of the outsoles, Zoot has used its own technologies - Zoot Carbon Rubber and Zoot Blown Rubber. These two rubber compounds give the shoes increased durability against abrasions and wear mainly in the areas of greatest contact, as well as offering a reliable level of traction and grip on different types of surfaces.

Midsole

The midsole of these shoes offers an impressive level of shock absorption promoting a better response during the ride, thanks to the Z Bound+ technology, which is also perfectly coupled with another technology already created by Zoot, the injected ZVA foam. Both components are spread in two continuous layers across the midsole providing a very resistant and homogeneous surface.

Breathable upper

The upper of the Zoot Del Mar shoe features an open mesh construction that provides a more ventilated environment for the foot, keeping it dry and cool. The synthetic material just below the mesh also allows the shoe some level of waterproofing.

On the inside, a more cushioned environment has been designed to allow the shoe to be worn even without socks.

The seamless construction has fewer irritation points, so the runner will remain comfortable throughout the run. In the heel area, the shoes feature a synthetic support material that hugs the area and improves stability.

Although some runners may find the 312-gram weight of the men's version of the shoe a bit heavy, the shoes are well suited to the demands of running and, thanks to their cushioning system, provide a smooth stride while keeping the foot secure and comfortable for long mileage.
