In recent months Adidas has been bringing back its classic sneakers, adding to them a touch of modernity that has definitely not gone unnoticed by longtime fans but also by new generations.
An example of this is the Adidas Equipment Support series, which has become a classic since its launch in the early 90s. Currently the company has revived one of its iconic sneakers with the incorporation of two of its best technologies, the Primeknit and the Boost; with these improvements Adidas achieves a shoe with greater functionality, but with the same characteristic style of this series.
The design of the shoe remains faithful to the classic signature, with an increasingly diverse variety of color combinations. The upper incorporates Primeknit technology, a mesh that offers an excellent level of breathability, but at the same time is very soft, offering a comfortable feeling to the foot.
In the heel area we find a TPU support that hugs the heel and ankle to provide greater protection and also gives a better structure to the shoe. On the sides of the shoe we can appreciate the characteristic three bands of synthetic fabric material which depart from the midsole to join directly to the laces, with which we obtain a personalized fit of the shoe and a better support for the midfoot.
The cushioning of these shoes is provided by a layer of injected EVA foam, which provides good surface shock absorption and keeps the shoes comfortable for use as a casual shoe as well.
As mentioned, the shoes feature Boost technology, two additional shock absorbers that have been placed in the heel area and near the toe area to give added protection to both parts of the foot.
The outsoles are made of a highly abrasion-resistant rubber, have additional reinforcement in the toe area and the oval cleat allows for good traction on a variety of terrains while preventing material buildup on the outsole.
The Adidas Equipment Support is back as a versatile, modern yet classic shoe; its success can be seen in the ever-expanding catalog of these shoes, of which we will undoubtedly see many more styles.
