In 1987 the Air Max lineage was born, featuring the Air unit for the first time. What started as an experiment in cushioning quickly became an icon on the runway... and on the streets. Over the years it has been reinvented and in this edition the Air Max 3 Archetype pays homage to the timeless style of this model by bringing back its original name and recreating the first version of the shoe in full detail.
It features an original design with a foam midsole and an encapsulated air chamber in the forefoot. This edition takes the nostalgic feel even further with references to exploration and the prototypes from which the icon was created.
