Nike redesigns one of its favorite running shoe editions for marathoners to add a "plus" that undoubtedly makes them more versatile and allows them to adapt to different running situations. Thanks to the revamped upper, the shoes are now waterproof, so we won't have to worry about what the weather might throw at us during the race.

Features

The upper of these shoes is made of a single-layer nylon material, which eliminates the use of seams and gives a smooth surface, preventing chafing points; this material has the quality of being waterproof but also allowing adequate airflow into the interior, keeping the foot cool.

A support made of the same fabric has been placed in the forefoot area, from the laces to the toe cap, to offer greater durability and protection in the toe area. The heel cup has a plastic support that maintains the shape of the shoe.

The low-profile collar is made of a padded material and is covered with the same fabric used for the upper. This fabric extends a few millimeters above the collar to better enclose the foot inside the shoe.

Some sections of the upper, such as the collar fabric and the heel cup support, are made of reflective material. Thanks to the qualities of the upper material, the shoes can be flattened to make them easier to store.

The insole and additional support in the heel area are made of EVA rubber which offers good cushioning and support and, thanks to its memory qualities, maintains its condition over time.

The midsole uses dual-density Phylon technology for increased cushioning without increasing the weight of the shoe.

The outsoles feature a midfoot support for flexibility, while the pattern surrounding the outsole maintains the Nike Mayfly Lite SE 's traction primarily on asphalt terrain.
