Onitsuka Tiger Monte Z

After its introduction in the 1950s, the Monte Pokhara, inspired by the mountaineering footwear of the time, now sees its design revamped and returns to the streets as the Monte Z. When this shoe was first introduced more than 50 years ago, the unique back heel design was intended to protect the Achilles tendon. Now, the modern version of the midsole gives the shoe a rugged feel for hiking sessions and the kimono-inspired upper structure and external perforations can be laced in a variety of ways.

The Monte Z maintains its unique lacing style but retains the option to wear them without laces. Its unique Japanese design with a modern lightweight midsole has been recognized as a classic Onitsuka sneaker with an updated twist.
