The Puma Roma sneakers have been one of the brand's classic editions that quickly became popular with a wide variety of athletes since their launch in 1968. With their cushioned and comfortable design, they were used for racing and as casual sneakers, thanks to their versatile and adaptive style.
Now the Roma is back in Puma s catalog with a fresh look and new additions such as a revamped upper, padded tongue and improved arch support.
These shoes feature an upper made entirely of synthetic leather which gives them a sleeker style but also adds to the shoe's durability. The "T-toe" construction also allows more protection for the toe area by adding a T-shaped reinforcement to the upper. The use of stitching is reduced as much as possible to avoid irritation points while maintaining the durability of the upper.
The flat lacing offers more comfort; as we have mentioned the Puma Roma shoes have in this new edition a more padded tongue which helps the laces not to hurt the instep area and to achieve a more secure closure. The collar features a fairly substantial material that helps to enclose the foot inside the shoe properly.
For the midsole, a highly cushioning rubber compound is used that will allow us to use the shoes for different sports, efficiently absorbing the energy of the impact with the surface. In addition to this, an additional reinforcement has been placed in the arch area for better support.
This midsole also gives the sneakers enough comfort so that we can wear them all day long, making them an excellent choice for casual sports shoes.
The outsole of the Puma Roma uses a rubber outsole that stands out for its traction. The design while it may seem a bit aggressive, it offers enough flexibility for asphalt terrains while running or playing sports, but it won't be uncomfortable while taking a stroll either.
Brought from the 60s to the present day, the Roma maintains its sleek, sporty style with the advantage of new technologies for better performance footwear in a variety of conditions.
