Saucony Grid SD

Originally launched in 1991, the Saucony Grid SD took the company three years of technological innovation to produce the first shoe whose cushioning system simultaneously offered both shock absorption and improved foot stability.

Thanks to these features, the shoes quickly became a hit in running training shoes. Now, the Grid SD is back with some updates in the materials used for its construction but still offering excellent performance for running shoes.

Features

For the construction of these shoes, an upper has been developed that has a synthetic mesh material which facilitates the passage of air into the shoe. This material is reinforced with the use of overlays made of suede, which provide greater durability to the shoes.

On the sides, approximately in the ankle area, there is a strap that is attached to the lacing system of the shoe and allows for a better fit. The use of different layers of material throughout the upper allows the shoe to hug the foot better and although it gives it a more robust appearance, the truth is that the Saucony Grid SD is not a heavy shoe.

Midsole

The midsole makes use of the system specially designed by Saucony and from which the shoe takes its name, the GRID (Ground Reaction Inertia Device) technology allows good cushioning but also offers stability to the foot while running. The density of the midsole also allows a very good ground feel without sacrificing protection.

A special support is placed in the heel area which allows for more protection in this area of the foot, adding points to the cushioning of the shoe, a quality that makes it more comfortable.

Outsole

The outsole uses Shadow 5000 technology which offers good resistance and durability, in addition to this, thanks to the triangular pattern that is already Sauconys hallmark, traction will be efficient in a wide variety of terrains.

Undoubtedly, more than two decades after its launch, the Saucony Grid SD is still an excellent choice in training shoes for running or for different types of sports that guarantee comfort, protection and cushioning.
