The new Salomon shoe, the Salomon Barrakee focuses primarily on providing stability, comfort and protection to explore and perform all types of mountain routes with total confidence and security.
The Salomon 3 Barrakee is a hiking shoe that, for the moment, is only available in the men's version and in a single color, with green and black tones.
Salomon remains committed to the hiking shoes & walking boots in which it is one of the leading brands in the sector. The upper of the Salomon 3 Barrakee consists of an open mesh that ensures maximum breathability and has protections both in the front and in the heel area of the shoe to provide extra security.
The shoe features the Sensifit foot wrap, developed by the brand itself, which provides a snug and secure fit of the foot inside the shoe, ideal for those longer hikes in the mountains.
The upper of the shoe also has a reinforced tongue to provide extra protection on our excursions. The lacing system is traditional with eyelets and, unlike other hiking shoes & walking boots of the brand, such as the Salomon X Ultra 4 Gore-Tex, it does not have a Gore-Tex membrane.
The midsole of the Salomon 3 Barrakee is made of high-performance EVA foam that cushions the impacts of the shoe with the mountain terrain where we are doing our excursions.
The sole of the shoe has the Contagrip MD compound, one of the most prominent of the brand of Annecy, and with which we have ensured a great durability as it is one of the most durable compounds of the brand.
The shoe is intended for hikers with an advanced profile and with experience in hiking in the mountains. The shoe will perform better in medium mountain terrain than in excessively technical terrain.
