ASICS Gel Fuji Sensor 3

Asics ' flagship trail running shoe for the 2015 season is the Gel Fuji Sensor 3, a model designed for more mountainous areas compared to other similar models. The Asics Gel Fuji Sensor 3 is the natural evolution of the predecessor version, but only adds minimal changes in terms of design and colors. Apart from this small facelift, there are no major new features, which gives an idea of the degree of satisfaction of the Japanese firm with respect to the previous model Fuji Sensor 2.

This trail shoe is the most technologically advanced of the brand. It has a spectacular cushioning to offer a formidable performance, which is why it is considered by the Japanese firm as the perfect model for trail running fans.

A shoe with 9 mm drop and very good performance, but with a somewhat high weight 384 grams. It is ideal for runners over 70 kilograms, with a neutral stride, who want to run many kilometers without their feet suffering on uneven terrain. In principle it is an ideal shoe for training although if you are not too fast it can be used for competition.

Upper

The upper has improved protection zones in the toe and a more resistant mesh that is not as breathable as we would like. As for waterproofing, it can withstand water but in a short-lived way, like splashes; on a rainy day the shoe can become a burden. On the other hand, the Lace Pocket system allows you to store the laces in the tongue to avoid getting tangled with branches or other objects.

Midsole

The dual-density Solyte midsole provides phenomenal cushioning, improving momentum with every stride and providing greater durability. A very comfortable shoe, with plenty of cushioning, thanks to the GEL reinforcements included in both the heel and forefoot areas.

Outsole

It incorporates a specific AHAR+ outsole with all the technological advances that have made the Japanese company so popular. Thanks to this compound, greater resistance to abrasion is achieved for uneven terrain, providing ideal grip on all types of surfaces.
