ASICS Gel Nimbus 18

As every year, and it's already 18, Asics brings us its renewed jewel. The flagship of the Japanese brand Asics Gel Nimbus 18. This new update affects the change that already experienced the Asics Gel Nimbus 17, lighten the weight, improve the fit and not lose cushioning.

And they have succeeded especially in the fit. The brand has made an effort to avoid all kinds of seams, to a better construction of the heel that now wraps the back of the foot without uncomfortable movements and above all without that feeling of dragging the shoe.

As a novelty we find a new arrangement of the GEL that will help us to a better movement of the foot and greater comfort. A smoother transition to the guidance line is achieved, improving the efficiency of the stride.

We liked the new eyelet design that allows for better lace tension without strange folds and in a uniform way.

We thought that with the launch of the Asics Metarun the brand would bet entirely on this new compound, but they still keep their GEL® in the heel area which, despite responding adequately, needs a change in order not to be left behind other materials from the competition.

It does incorporate a new Fluidride 2.0 midsole to guarantee maximum comfort and flexibility.

On the inside, ComfortDry® manages moisture and offers comfortable support.
