Everything seemed to indicate that with the arrival of the revolutionary Metarun in the Running shoes segment, ASICS Running 's characteristic GEL cushioning system' s days were numbered, and it had a built-in expiration date. The innovative FlyteFoam technology, patented by the Japanese brand, guarantees premium cushioning with its reinforced structure of natural fibers, allowing the material to return to its original state more quickly. This new ASICS Running argument is reflected in a lighter and more resistant midsole. However, nothing could be further from the truth, shortly after the release of the Metarun, ASICS surprised with the ASICS GEL QUANTUM 360.
A new top of the range that as its name suggests incorporates a 100% GEL midsole, although with the nuance that it is an evolved material with the purpose of obtaining a superior performance and that marks the differences with the rest. In addition, this GEL QUANTUM also incorporates some of the most cutting-edge and innovative technologies of the Japanese manufacturer. In this sense, the FluidFit technology stands out, incorporated in the seamless mesh upper, which ensures good ventilation. Or the Full Length Trusstic System, which, in addition to contributing to the reduction of the shoe's weight, also reinforces the stability of the GEL QUANTUM 360.
All these features are present in ASICS Running 's latest generation model, which is a new evolution of the QUANTUM model, taking on a new surname, ASICS GEL QUANTUM 360 CM. The letters "CM" correspond to the exclusive Chameleon Mesh fabric, which is capable of changing its hue depending on the angle at which it is viewed.
Of course, in these ASICS GEL QUANTUM 360 Chameleon Mesh, the GEL cushioning provides 360° cushioning from the rearfoot to the forefoot. In addition, with the propulsion plates on the outsole, the model is geared to enhance the boost in the toe-off phase of the foot. While the upper, made with specially designed mesh, gives the model better flexibility and support.
