Durability, protection and optimal performance are the best way to describe the ASICS Gel Venture 5 This fifth version of this Running shoes features some improvements, focused on protecting and securing the foot when running on uneven terrain, ensuring a comfortable experience for those libre adventures.

Although it is designed for trail running, it is a versatile shoe that can be used on any type of surface. A point that many users have appreciated in these shoes are its cushioning units, which offer a good support surface for the foot, and even offer arch support.

Cushioning system

The cushioning system of these shoes is based on a molded vinyl acetate compound, which is lighter and offers a better response for the midsole. This material is not only very comfortable for the underfoot but also has the ability to absorb shock, while making each landing softer on the feet.

This technology is complemented by the GEL cushioning that is advertised in the very name of the shoe. The GEL is located in the rear section of the shoe and makes heel impact less stressful for this area of the foot, absorbing shock and achieving an additional level of cushioning.

Protection

The upper of the shoe features a design in which protection and ventilation have been the key points. The ASICS Gel Venture 5 maintains much of the brand's traditional design, with a mesh construction that keeps the shoe well ventilated at all times. The upper is bonded in such a way that the shoe maintains its structure without the need for stitching that can cause irritation.

Synthetic overlays maintain the shoe's firmness. In this edition of the Venture, these overlays are more prominent, so they hug the foot more tightly and also serve as a protective barrier against loose material that may be encountered on the trail.

The insole is made of a breathable and very comfortable material that allows the shoes to be worn even without socks.

Soles

ASICS continues to implement AHAR rubber for the construction of its outsoles. A material that has been seen in the vast majority of its shoes and has so far offered a very good response when it comes to traction and durability. The multi-directional lugs are meant to facilitate grip no matter the surface, in fact the outsoles play a good role when climbing or descending hills.

Fit

Thanks to their synthetic overlay design, the shoes fit securely to the foot. The curved design adapts to the natural shape of the foot for runners with a neutral stride, but also offers good arch support. Athletes with wider feet may find the shoes a little snug, but they are not restrictive.
