The ASICS GT-3000 5 shoes are one of the best editions that the firm has created in stability shoes, designed for those runners with a very marked overpronation. The midsole of the ASICS GT-3000 5 features 10 millimeters of drop and is generously equipped with ASICS' best technologies, starting with the FluidRide rubber that is spread in a single layer across the entire midsole and offers ample response and durability; this rubber makes the shoes able to offer greater stability without compromising the smoothness needed during transition.

From the heel to the midfoot section is Dynamic Duomax Support rubber which helps provide additional cushioning. Finally, the heel and forefoot utilize ASICS Gel technology which is a silicone capsule that helps absorb shock more efficiently.

Thanks to this combination of rubbers, the firm manages to make the medial section of the shoe firmer, which helps correct foot movement in overpronators.

Outsole

The outsole of the ASICS GT-3000 5 maintains the characteristics of the previous edition. Long rubber pads have been placed that are divided by deep flex grooves that help the shoe move more freely. Additionally, Guidance Line technology, which is a fairly deep groove from heel to toe, helps decrease the weight of the shoe, increases flexibility and improves transition.

The heel uses a denser AHAR rubber for durability, while the forefoot section uses blown AHAR rubber for increased cushioning and traction. Thanks to this combination of rubbers, the shoe adapts to different types of terrain.
