In recent years, running shoes have ceased to be just a sports accessory, and have become part of other activities in our daily lives where we need to feel comfortable. Aware of this situation, ASICS has sought to diversify the design of many of its running-specific models, making them easily adaptable to different situations, from the gym to a quick trip to the supermarket.
One of the aspects that ASICS has sought to innovate the most, when it comes to diversifying the uses of traditional running shoes, is the design. This is how the ASICS NitroFuze arrives with an edition for women -it is also available in a men's version-, in which both the materials chosen for its upper, in particular, and the characteristics of the design, in general, make them ideal for training, as well as to use them comfortably with a pair of jeans.
We will first highlight one of its most striking features which is the upper. The breathable mesh has smaller holes, which, while not sacrificing the ventilation of the shoe at all, give it a more fabric-like look that matches better with any outfit.
The range of colors presents options for all tastes, from the most modern and colorful, to presentations in more sober colors. On the sides are the classic overlays that make up the ASICS logo, in this case the synthetic material used is lighter and has reflective characteristics.
On the heel part additional synthetic reinforcements have been placed that not only keep this section of the foot protected, but also gives a better structure to the shoe in general; this heel construction is very similar to other editions such as the FuzeX, and which best of all has proven to work quite well.
While these are very flashy shoes to be used casually, one should not forget that the main purpose of this shoe is running. The ASICS NitroFuze is ideal for training and offers a good cushioning system that is achieved through the incorporation of the FuzeGel technology, a combination between the typical foam that can be seen in other running shoes and Gel, which ASICS has made use of in some of its more ironic editions.
This compound, which is achieved by combining both materials, allows for soft and efficient cushioning during the run, keeping the shoe light enough to be used for other activities.
The soles have a fairly simple design with horizontal grooves that offer optimal grip on asphalt terrain. In the heel area they incorporate AHAR+ rubber, which has already been used many times by ASICS and has proven its durability.
Finally, the ASICS NitroFuze are in the category that the company has called "Run Easy", for the comfort and versatility of the shoe, and for its price they are classified in the low range, so they are an accessible, modern and striking option for female runners with a model suitable and focused both for running and for day to day.
