ASICS Patriot 7

The ASICS Patriot 7 is precisely the seventh and improved installment of this line of shoes designed by ASICS. There are several improvements that the company wanted to implement in this new edition, mainly in terms of design and construction to achieve a shoe with an upper with better breathability, greater comfort in the fit of the foot and a higher level of cushioning compared to its predecessors.

Designed for the trail, their lighter weight than other versions of ASICS running shoes (299 grams for men, 258 grams for women) makes them ideal for daily training, while the incorporation of technologies in the midsole, midfoot and heel maintain a smoother running pace at all times.

Comfortable and cool upper

The fit and comfort of the shoe is one of the points that has been improved in the ASICS Patriot 7; the new synthetic leather material is combined with a more open-hole mesh for a higher level of comfort and breathability, while maintaining a secure grip on the foot during the run.

On the inside of the shoe is California Slip Lasting technology for added softness and less noticeable foot impact on the ground, which is integrated into the EVA midsole for added durability. The shoe also features a padded collar that keeps the ankle comfortable and protected.

Durability and flexibility

As is characteristic of ASICS, the inner midsection of the shoe features the Solyte midsole, which is made with a highly responsive foam, maintaining softness and shock protection, while still providing the flexibility and durability needed in the shoe.

In the midfoot area is the Trusstic System which allows a controlled torsion of the foot and a more natural stride movement without losing stability even on uneven terrain, ideal for those who are new to running and runners with a more neutral stride.

For the outsole, ASCIS continues to use AHAR+ rubber in a slightly thicker layer for better shock absorption, flexibility, durability and cushioning. In this way the shoe is designed not only to offer superior comfort, but also better foot support throughout the running cycle.

In terms of fit, the ASICS Gel Patriot 7 shoes are best suited for athletes with a less wide foot, however, there is good room in the toe area; the shoe provides an adequate level of fit without being restrictive.
