ASICS Patriot 8

Thanks to their excellent value for money, ASICS Patriot shoes have gained a preferential place among runners who start running or those looking for a neutral shoe, ideal for training and with a price in the mid-range without neglecting the quality of the materials.

This is how ASICS has come to present the ASICS Patriot 8, an eighth edition of these shoes whose features have left users with a good taste in previous presentations and are now slightly improved to adapt to the new demands of athletes.

New upper features

The upper of these shoes continues to maintain many of the features of the previous edition, with the incorporation of a synthetic leather with fewer seams and a more open mesh that ensures a better passage of air from both the outside and inside of the shoe, avoiding overheating of the foot during the race, or the appearance of annoying blisters.

An additional detail that has been placed this time on the upper is a reflective material on the sides, specifically on the lines that make up the ASICS logo; this material is intended to improve the runner's visibility in low light conditions, a perfect addition for those who enjoy training in the early hours of the morning or during the evening.

A smoother run

As for the technical characteristics of the ASCIS Patriot 8, the features of the previous version are maintained. For starters, the EVA foam midsole allows for a better transition of energy through the shoe, cushioning impacts efficiently.

The AHAR+ rubber outsole offers adequate durability of the shoe preventing abrasions and wear caused by frequent use, especially in areas such as the heel and toe, these soles offer a very good grip on asphalt surfaces although they can also be taken to more uneven terrain, however it should be noted that these are not shoes designed for technical terrain.

In the midfoot area we find the Trusstic System that controls the torsion of the foot and offers better arch support, resulting in a smoother and more fluid stride.

The ASICS Patriot 8 shoes have an average weight of 275 grams so they will be ideal for medium paced runs and runners of medium to light build. They offer better support in the heel area for those who are new to running and tend to impact this part of the foot first during the stride.

Inside the shoe we find a cushioned material that allows the foot to remain comfortable at all times and an EVA foam-based insole for improved cushioning; this insole is removable, so runners who need to use orthopedic insoles can easily replace them.
