Comfortable and discreet are the ASICS RoadHawk FF shoes, an addition of the Japanese firm for running training and neutral runners. Thanks to its casual style and its trademark performance, the RoadHawk FF is a versatile shoe. Thanks to its running efficiency, the model ensures better performance, combined with a smoother and more comfortable stride. But its sneaker side is not to be overlooked either, because this new and innovative ASICS model can be included in any of your casual outfits.
A good part of the upper of the shoe is made of jacquard mesh, which ensures that the shoes have excellent ventilation. In the upper area, at toe level, you will find larger holes that allow for excellent breathability. In addition, the soft touch of the mesh itself provides a feeling of comfort and total freedom of movement.
In the collar and tongue area, the mesh has a more similar texture for added comfort during closure. On the sides, the ASICS RoadHawk FF uses a slightly stiffer material that helps provide better midfoot support without sacrificing ventilation and comfort.
For added durability and protection, some synthetic thermo-seals have been added in strategic areas of the model, mainly in the midfoot and heel area. In fact, in the heel, this synthetic layer has a perforation, which keeps air flowing in, so breathability is an issue that has not gone unnoticed in the design of the new ASICS RoadHawk FF.
For the development of the midsole of these shoes, the Japanese firm has also chosen to incorporate the innovative FlyteFoam compound throughout the length of its midsole. A resource that has already been seen in iconic models of the brand as in the Gel Kayano 24, in the premium MetaRun, in the DynaFlyte, or in the Gel Noosa FF.
Compared to other materials and technologies that ASICS has used in the composition of its midsole, FlyteFoam is a lighter and more durable material, but it also offers greater reactivity to the shoe. All this translates into improved cushioning and greater energy return, without the need to add an overly robust layer of material to the midsole.
This edition has not used ASICS' GEL cushioning system, which gave greater protection mainly to the heel area. Despite this significant absence, the cushioning of the ASCIS RoadHawk FF features a very generous amount of cushioning.
The outsoles of the ASICS RoadHawk FF use the characteristic AHAR rubber in the areas most exposed to wear, which guarantees durability. The design of the soles is designed to adapt to asphalt terrain, offering good traction and grip.
The construction of the soles of the shoes also offers very good flexibility characteristics. In addition to this, the rubber used provides extra cushioning. Thanks to the characteristics of the sole, it is not aggressive or robust, so we can use them for different occasions, even in more casual outfits, and without sacrificing style. They don't look aggressive at all.
Overall, the ASICS RoadHawk FF is a shoe with sober and clean lines that stand out without attracting excessive attention. Beyond its simple physical attributes, its internal characteristics are what undoubtedly make them stand out, thanks to its performance this model of the Japanese manufacturer allows us greater efficiency during the race, hand in hand with a generous level of cushioning and excellent ventilation; and of course, without forgetting the comfort enough to use them in all our day to day activities.
Therefore, the ASICS RoadHawk FF is conceived as a training shoe, oriented to runners with neutral footstep and medium weight -under 80 kilos-, and for paces above 4:30 minutes per kilometer. The drop this shoe is 8 millimeters, while its weight is 245 grams for the men's version and 190 grams for the women's model.
