As a very supportive and efficient shoe, this is how many users define the Mizuno Wave Connect 3, a shoe with the perfect combination of cushioning and stability, which allows a very good response whether they are used for long or short runs.

Although their price places them in a medium/high range, the Wave Connect 3 incorporate the best technologies of Mizuno to meet the requirements of the most demanding runners, guaranteeing its good performance and long durability.

Being the third edition of this line of shoes, they offer a more generous and softer cushioning, courtesy of the latest generation midsole designed by Mizuno, the U4ic technology. The use of this softer material for the cushioning system allows these stabilizing shoes a superior element of comfort and convenience.

Mizunos best technologies

As mentioned, Mizuno has incorporated the best technologies into the midsole construction of these shoes. First is the Smooth Ride technology which is basically what provides that irregular appearance to the midsole that can be seen on the outside and improves the movement from the heel to the forefoot.

A new lighter cushioning foam, SR TOUCH, has been placed in the heel area for additional protection against shock in this area. However, the main shock absorption system remains the task of Wave Spring technology, a mechanical thermoplastic material that disperses impact on landing and utilizes a good percentage of the impact energy for a more dynamic landing.

The AP+ midsole is also placed in this area and together with the rest of the technologies it allows a better response of the shoe and an unbeatable cushioning. Finally, the U4iC midsole finds its place in the very heart of the Mizuno Wave Connect 3 shoe, although it offers the same characteristics as the AP+ foam, this new material is 30% lighter, so it maintains the cushioning that the runner needs, without adding additional weight to the shoe.

G3-DR outsoles

G3-DR rubber is used by Mizuno for the construction of the sole of these shoes and is located in the areas that receive the most impact during running. This material also allows for better grip on any type of surface and promotes the stability of the shoe.

Upper

A very good breathable mesh dominates a good part of the upper of these shoes, the support and structure comes from the use of layers of synthetic material, some of these layers extend over the entire surface of the shoe reaching up to the heel area to better secure the foot during movement.

Interior comfort remains exceptional due to the presence of Ortholite Sockliner technology that also contains anti-bacterial elements to keep the foot libre.

The Mizuno Wave Connect 3 shoes have been specially designed for runners with a pronator footprint or who need support due to inefficient technique in the initiation stage, with a fit and technologies that users will enjoy in every training session.
