Mizuno Wave Daichi 7, a very comfortable option that is suitable for everything

We have here the new version of the Japanese brand Mizuno Wave Daichi 7 A shoe that is suitable for all types of runners and that I definitely recommend for any type of mountain outing. This shoe is the evolution of its predecessor Daichi 6 with small tweaks that make this model even better than the previous one that so many runners liked.

This trail running shoe of the Mizuno Wave Daichi 7 is designed for light to medium weight runners looking for speed in their mountain runs. A very valid shoe for both dry and muddy terrain. The outsole still maintains the Michelin compound, and exactly the same design that we enjoyed in the previous model. In addition, the outsole still has that separate tread pattern that gives us that extra balance.

As for the type of distance, I have used them for both short and long distances. I have to say, that if we are looking to do mountain marathons maybe this is not the right shoe and we would have to go for another type of shoe. They are perfect for 10 to 21 kilometers.

What you need to know about the Mizuno Wave Daichi 7: technical specifications

As for the technical specifications of the Mizuno Wave Daichi 7, we can say that it is a lightweight model designed for middle distance that responds very well when the runner has to adapt to faster paces. The shoe has a drop of 8 mm and profiles of 24 mm in the front and 32 mm in the rear. The upper is where we see the most notable changes, as although it still has some pins in the eyelets for fastening, some thermo-sealing has been incorporated to provide maximum protection and offer an extra point of support. Its EVA midsole and Mizuno Wave technology offer unbeatable cushioning and adaptability. Its weight is 300 grams in trail running shoes for men and 255 grams for women.

Why did we like these Mizuno Wave Daichi 7 trail shoes?

This shoe has become one of my favorites when it comes to choosing shoes to compete in the mountains. As I mentioned in the previous section, it adapts so well to all types of terrain that it is a very favorable point to take into account when choosing a mountain shoe. In addition, the Michelin outsole , which I have tested so many times in asphalt shoes, gives me that little bit of security that I am looking for. In terms of comfort, I notice that it is a mountain shoe because of its lugging, but if it did not have them we could feel that they are asphalt shoes and my feeling is that they adapt perfectly to the foot.

Like every shoe, these also have their pros and cons. To be honest, I've had a hard time finding a downside and to put one is the one I've previously mentioned that this shoe maybe falls short for long distance. My sensations have been great until kilometer 20, but from then on I have the feeling that they are not as comfortable as they had been up to that point.
