Runners who need extra stability and support are in luck because from March this year will be available the new version of the Mizuno Wave Equate 8 They are shoes that have slight novelties with respect to the previous version.
If you have had the opportunity to run with the Mizuno Wave Equate 7, you know the benefits of this running shoe that, in this new version continues to provide stability and correction to runners who tend to pronation when running.
It is important to note that no material of animal origin has been used in the production process of the shoe, so we can consider the new Mizuno Wave Equate 8 a vegan shoe and the Japanese brand as one of the pioneers in the commitment to recycled materials. We will now detail all the new features of the new version.
The brand has opted in this Mizunorunning shoe for continuity, and we already know that if something works well, better not to touch it too much and this is the case of the new Mizuno Wave Equate 8 that does incorporate small innovations as we can see in the upper, as it has a recycled PET mesh that is lighter and more breathable.
In the midsole there are only small improvements with respect to the Mizuno Wave Equate 7, as it continues to bet on one of the most popular technologies of the brand and that surely you know as is the Wave plate that is made in the form of double fan in the middle of the shoe. The material used is Elastollan N, a new TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) made from biomass, i.e. organic matter of entirely vegetable origin.
One of the differences with respect to the previous version is found in the sole of the shoe, which is wider in the midfoot area and has straight flex cuts in the front to enhance one of the key aspects for pronator runners, stability. The X rubber continues to be used as the main material in the sole of the shoe, providing great resistance to abrasion.
From the technical specifications of the Mizuno Wave Equate 8, we highlight the 12 millimeters of drop with which the shoe has (a drop already difficult to find in the market today) and a weight of 290 grams (size 43 EU) in the men's version and 250 grams (size 40 EU) in the women's version.
The shoe maintains the essence of the previous versions, or in other words, a shoe that offers good stability and support for all runners who need it during their daily running workouts.
The Mizuno Wave Equate 8 is oriented for runners of medium weight and even high weight (over 85 kilos) as it has a good shock absorption and ideal support for that profile of runners enjoy during their workouts.
It is an ideal shoe for runners who tend to pronate thanks to its stability and allows us to run at medium paces, around the 5 - 5'30 minutes per kilometer.
The Mizuno Wave Equate 8 is a versatile shoe in terms of the distances we can run with them. They are perfect for running short distances but also provide good support for running comfortably, albeit at not excessively fast paces, up to middle distance.
It is a shoe that, from RUNNEA, we believe is one of the ideal options for all those runners who tend to pronation and need a stable shoe for daily workouts and, in addition to having some of the most outstanding technologies of the brand, it does not have an excessively high price for what we can see in the market today.
