Year 2023

The Wave Inspire saga reaches its nineteenth edition while maintaining its main hallmark of being the daily training shoe for runners with moderate pronation. However, this new update promises a greater degree of smoothness and fluidity in the stride, without detracting from its unbeatable level of stability and comfort for all types of distances on asphalt. In RUNNEA we tell you all the details of the new Mizuno Wave Inspire 19.

These running shoes Mizuno Wave Inspire 19 have evolved their design so that you are able to cover a greater volume of kilometers, improving your running experience. All the technologies and materials used in this renewed edition have the mission to increase the feeling of a smoother and more fluid race. A concept that the developers of the Japanese brand are emphasizing in each of their new releases for running enthusiasts.

What's new in the new Mizuno Wave Inspire 19?

With respect to its previous version, these Mizuno Wave Inspire 19 incorporate very significant improvements, and that make this all-terrain model offers a leap in quality to a premium category in running shoes. Thus, cushioning and energy return go hand in hand in this model.

The key points of this renewed version of Mizuno 's Wave Inspire 19 are found in the reconfiguration of its midsole. On the one hand, the density of its star material Mizuno Enerzy Foam is now thicker, asup to 2 millimeters more foam is included. This patented Mizuno foam also occupies the entire length of the midsole. The result is a more comfortable, resilient and responsive feel. A technological resource that follows the same line of the flagship Mizuno Wave Rider 26 runners to increase that propulsion capacity.

On the other hand, the place Wave feature has also been improved, and presents a more anatomical shape to provide more stability. In fact, this plate is slightly higher on the inside of the foot, which facilitates foot rotation and corrects overpronation to a greater extent.

All in all, these midsole improvements mean that the Mizuno Wave Inspire 19 is able to offer excellent cushioning with great responsiveness, and without diminishing its stability performance in every kilometer you run.

There are also improvements in the upper of these Mizuno Wave Inspire 19. All of them are focused on increasing the fit, and thus offering a better adaptability to the foot. In fact, additional midfoot reinforcements have been included to provide more support. Both the new tongue and the internal reinforcement in the heel area increase the feeling of support and firmness.

As for the outsole, Mizuno uses its exclusive X10 carbon rubber compound. A material that comes standard in all the top of the range models of the Japanese brand, because it provides durability and resistance. Although, this time, it emphasizes on offering more grip in the most strategic points of the shoe, such as in the heel area.

Runner profile of the Mizuno Wave Inspire 19

All the improvements included in this new version of the Mizuno Wave Inspire 19 does not mean that it changes its target audience, because, as we have already pointed out, it is a perfect model for moderate pronators, and medium build up to 75 kilos in men and 65 kilos in women.

The main argument in favor of this Mizuno Wave Inspire 19 is that it is a running shoe suitable for runners of all types and conditions. From beginner level to more experienced runners.

This model is designed for all distances, including the marathon, and for all types of training runs at controlled paces, from 4:40 min/km, and even lower. Always on the condition that it is a running shoe with stability and cushioning.

Technical specifications of the Mizuno Wave Inspire 19

Regarding the technical specifications, and with respect to what we have seen in its previous edition of the Mizuno Wave Inspire 18, despite the 2mm increase in its profile, this new edition of the Wave Inspire 19 maintains the geometry with a standarddrop of 12 millimeters to ensure that level of reliability.

However, all the changes to its upper and the softer foam make this model slightly lighter than previous editions. The men's running shoes shoe weighs 305 grams, while the women's version weighs 245 grams. Features that speak of its greater reactivity to run comfortable, safe, stable and more agile, when you ask the body.
