The Mizuno Wave Kazan is a new model of trail running shoe that will appeal to those runners looking for a dynamic and light footprint. It is not a natural running shoe but it brings the foot closer to the ground than what we are used to from the Japanese brand.
We liked the X-shaped lugs on the outsole that provide multidirectional grip.
Also the Wave technology in concave shape and XtaticRide, a new technological incorporation of Mizuno that allows the runner's feet to adapt naturally to the terrain.
Another novelty: Midfoot Groove. This is a flexion channel in the shape of an X that favors the adaptation of the foot to the irregularities of the terrain (torsional flexibility).
The shoe has a minimalist cut as we have seen in other "asphalt" models such as Sayonara or Hitogami, incorporating a U4iC midsole and a well-reinforced toe cap.
This trail running shoe is perfect for regular training on almost all types of surfaces. We especially liked its grip in the wet, on mud, gravel roads, wooded areas and loose rocky terrain.
