1 / 3

The new Mizuno Wave Prodigy 4 are ideal shoes for those runners who are new to running and are looking for a shoe with good cushioning and stability and also with a good value for money.

The new Mizuno Wave Prodigy 4 are running shoes that do not present great novelties with respect to the previous version and that have some of the most outstanding technologies of the Japanese brand despite being one of the most affordable models of Mizuno.

Mizuno Wave Prodigy 4, main features

The Mizuno Wave Prodigy 4, running shoes from Mizuno, provide everything necessary for runners to enjoy their first experiences as runners, the shoe has a good cushioning and comfort essential in our first workouts.

The upper of the Mizuno Wave Prodigy 4 has a jacquard mesh made mostly of recycled material and features Air Mesh technology developed by the same Japanese brand that provides a high level of breathability and comfort of the foot inside the shoe, even better than its predecessor, the Mizuno Wave Prodigy 3.

Mizuno Wave Prodigy 4, main features

The midsole of the Mizuno Wave Prodigy 4 includes, as the name of the shoe indicates, the Mizuno Wave technology, a plate that provides both cushioning and stability during our workouts. The shoe has the U4ciX foam that gives us that extra reactivity that will come in handy if we want to squeeze and run at faster paces during some workouts or in series.

The outsole of the Mizuno Wave Prodigy 4 has the same design and component as the previous version and that works so well, especially on asphalt but also if we want to use the shoes on compact ground where they also work quite well.

The outsole rubber is X10, a material developed by Mizuno itself that is extremely durable, and allows for more wear in high impact areas providing more traction in the heel area.

Mizuno Wave Prodigy 4, main characteristics

Ideal runner of the Mizuno Wave Prodigy 4

The Mizuno Wave Prodigy 4 is intended primarily for runners who are new to running, of medium or even high weight, neutral footed and in which they will have guaranteed comfort and cushioning in their workouts.

They are not a fast shoes and, despite having a sole with great durability we do not recommend the Mizuno Wave Prodigy 4 for long distances, but for short distances, maximum half marathon at most, since for long distances there are other shoes with better features.

Technical specifications of the Mizuno Wave Prodigy 4

In the technical specifications section we have to highlight the weight of the Mizuno Wave Prodigy 4, which is almost 300 grams, specifically, 295 grams in the men's version and 245 grams in the women's version, which improves in this aspect with respect to the previous version that were heavier shoes.
A lightweight and evolutionary midsole that offers stress-free cushioning and a great rebound.

In short, the Mizuno Wave Prodigy 4 are ideal shoes to get started in the world of running, which have different outstanding technologies of the Japanese brand and with a quality-price ratio difficult to match by other brands.
