Mizuno Wave Rider GTX 2

The second version of the Mizuno Wave Rider GTX 2, one of the Japanese brand's shoes designed for running in areas where rain is present for much of the year or for use on wet or muddy terrain, is now available.

The Mizuno Wave Rider GTX 2 is a trail runningshoe that incorporates a Gore-Tex membrane in addition to some of the most popular technologies developed by the Japanese brand.

Outstanding features of the Mizuno Wave Rider GTX 2

Mizuno expands its catof trail running shoes designed to run on the most difficult terrain or with worse weather conditions as in the case of this new model.

This second version does not present great novelties or new innovations with respect to the Mizuno Wave Rider GTX, maintaining the quality of the materials and characteristics of the shoe.

The upper features Mizuno's AirMesh technology so we are guaranteed a good breathability despite integrating a Gore-Tex membrane that protects our feet and keeps them dry even if we run on wet or muddy terrain.

The heel pull tab has been retained and a new one has been incorporated on the upper part of the tongue, which will allow us to put on and take off the shoe more quickly and easily.

The midsole integrates the great majority of outstanding technologies that we have in this model. On the one hand it has the Mizuno Wave technology, one of the most popular of the brand and that guarantees a great shock absorption and provides a soft and uniform cushioning that adapts to the movements of our feet in each of our strides.

Also present in the shoe is the Mizuno Enerzy technology, one of the relatively new technologies of the brand and that offers us a greater energy return that will allow us to run at faster paces.

The outsole retains the same design as the previous version but the position and size of the lugs are modified to provide greater grip and better response and water evacuation when we run on those terrains with more presence of water and mud.

Ideal profile of the Mizuno Wave Rider GTX 2

This model is designed for medium to heavy athletes (over 75 kilos) with a neutral stride technique who need a shoe that provides safety and protection on the most complicated or wet terrain.

It is a versatile shoe in terms of the distances that we can run with them, as they defend perfectly, thanks to the technologies that integrates, from the shortest distances to the medium and even the long distance.

With the guaranteed protection of the Gore-Tex membrane and the good grip of the sole, we have a shoe that will respond perfectly when we run in those environments where mud and water are the main protagonists.
