Mizuno 's Wave Ultima family also stands out as another of the Japanese company's flagships, being one of its most demanded models. Especially if we put the focus on training shoes. This successful saga reaches its ninth version with a series of notable improvements, which allow it to make a leap in quality. Despite its many new features, the Mizuno Wave Ultima 9 does not represent a total renovation with respect to its predecessor models, given that it maintains certain features that have already been seen previously in the Wave Ultima 8.

Undoubtedly, the most important novelty of the Mizuno Wave Ultima 9 lies in the incorporation of the innovative CloudWave technology of the Japanese manufacturer, which is already present in other models such as the iconic Mizuno Wave Rider 22, or in the new Wave Sky, among others. So thanks to the CloudWave, the Wave Ultima 9 improves its performance in terms of cushioning, response -more reactive-, stability and smoothness.
As in the Wave Ultima 8, the exclusive U4ic and U4icX compounds are also present in this ninth Wave Ultima 9 In this way, the model continues to ensure greater energy return, and contributes to a smoother and more fluid transition, thanks to its improved midsole and the new plantar lining (U4icX).
But apart from the CloudWave technology, the Wave Ultima 9 also incorporates another series of important new features. For example, its sole with a new configuration, and whose design not only provides more grip on the ground, but also increases the feeling of comfort in each step.
On the other hand, two details that should not be overlooked, the renewed Mizuno Wave Ultima 9 adds to the list of updates a new anatomical insole, and a reinforced toe cap, which increase comfort and protection during the race.
All in all, the ninth Mizuno Wave Ultima 9 presents very significant changes compared to previous versions, but does not lose the essence of continuing as a training shoe, top of cushioning, for runners with neutral footprint, and even for mild pronators, and high weight.
