In 2017 the French brand Salomon launched the Sense Ride model. Given the success of this model the firm has decided to improve the footwear, and one of the most significant improvements has been the incorporation of GTX fabric, thus creating the Salomon Sense Ride GTX Invisible Fit. A shoe that still maintains the style of its original design but with the incorporation of new improvements such as: better padding on the inside, greater protection against adverse weather conditions.
Like the main version, the Sense Ride GTX features a mesh upper with Sensifit fabric for optimal ventilation and excellent cushioning, reinforced with thermo-seals in the most sensitive areas of the shoe. Among the most important details of the shoes is the Quick Fit lacing system, which also incorporates a pocket for storing the laces. The laces, under Salomons Quicklace system, stand out for their minimalism, resistance and easy lacing. The main upper material is a 3D Mesh that improves breathability considerably compared to the previous model of the Sense Ride. The addition of the Goretex membrane to this model will help keep your feet dry due to its waterproofing. Inside we find the Ortholite insole that also favors the expulsion of sweat.
The two important components of this middle part of the shoe are the Energy Cell technology and the Opal compound that both give rise to the so-called Vibe technology patented by Salomon. The Energy Cell is responsible for providing a highly effective energy return to your stride, improving cushioning and durability along with the Opal compound. Another material system that is part of the midsole is the ProFeel Film, a lightweight TPU layer that is intended to protect the sole of the foot from sharp materials that may be encountered during the race.
The rubber outsole uses Contragrip technology to improve grip and traction on wet terrain and the most difficult rocky areas of your route.
The cleat used is identical to that of the main version, and the same as the one used in the Sense line of Salomon shoes. It has a medium prominence, so it adapts perfectly to different types of surfaces.
The Sense Ride GTX presents a good performance in cushioning, grip and comfort, and that together with the improvements and updates of the previous version, become a very useful trail shoe for medium distances.
