The Salomon S/LAB XA AMPHIB 2 arrives in the catalog of the French brand to rejuvenate the classic style for which the brand has always been characterized. This new model breaks all the molds to achieve a modern and current silhouette, which highlights its minimalist aesthetics, a first class comfort, and the necessary grip for the most difficult surfaces of trail running. This model is the second version of the Salomon SLab XA Amphib, and there have been significant changes between the two, mainly in its aesthetic section.
If you remember the grid used in the last version, you can see that it disappears completely in this new version, although the rhomboid effect is maintained through a heat-sealed pattern that serves as reinforcement for the upper in mesh, which is characterized by its good water evacuation. Without being entirely a waterproof shoe, its construction makes it one of the trail running shoes with the best features in the Salomon catalog for running on wet or dirty terrain, since it also has the Profeel Film compound that helps combat the numerous stones and surfaces by means of a thin layer that runs along the entire bottom of the shoe.
For the construction of the upper, SensiFit technology is used, which wraps the foot through a snug, secure and comfortable fit from the midsole to the lacing system, which we will talk about next. This results in a superb fit that can be customized to the conditions of each user.
Another important detail for trail runners is the Quicklace lacing system that Salomon frequently incorporates in its shoes. It is a quick and easy lacing system with a locking system, and it also allows you to store the thin and resistant laces of this shoe in an inside pocket.
For the midsole of the Salomon S/LAB XA AMPHIB 2, a dual density midsole has been chosen, in which EnergyCell technologyplays a very important role, offering perfect cushioning with energy return effect in each step, in addition to providing superior cushioning and durability. On the outside, as usual in the trail running modadlidad shoes, Salomon has opted for the Contagrip outsole, capable of adapting to any type of surface offering exceptional traction and grip.
