A first glance is enough to see that this top shoe from Salomon s successful Speedcross collection is based on the S-LAB series. Even if you hold them in your hand, it is not difficult to confuse the Speedcross 3 and Speedcross Pro models. But they exist, and they are there.
The Speedcross Pro trail running shoe is conceived as a model intended for competition, although it can also be used for training, although with a much lower durability result. That is why it is a light and fast model to perform perfectly on wet and soft terrain where extra grip is required. In addition, its quick-drying capacity is striking, which makes it an ideal choice for any lover of mountain races.
The main new features of what has become the fourth generation of the Speedcross lie in the tread pattern of the outsole. The V-shaped outsole is more prominent, and is presented in its natural form. That is, full-length, since, unlike its predecessor models, they came with a split heel. The change brings greater stability in each stride.
The upper of the Speedcross Pro comes with SensiFit technology, in the form of diagonal stripes from the midsole to the lacing area, whose strong points are the thermo-sealing and the reduction of upper seams. The purpose is none other than to give the shoe greater support and lightness. In addition, the midsole with EVA foam increases cushioning.
It also incorporates the EndoFit fit, which acts like a sock, to provide greater comfort in the instep area. To which we must add the Quicklace quick lacing system for a perfect fit.
The Salomon Speedcross Pro weighs 325 grams for the men's version, and 275 grams for the women's model. With a drop of 11 millimeters, this shoe is designed for neutral runners, weighing no more than 80 kilos, and advanced level for competitions or fast and technical training.
