In the upper the well-known Sensifit system, the best of Salomon to offer a firm and secure fit to your shoes, through which an upper with a very attractive aesthetic touch is achieved by the characteristic Zig Zag on the side. At first glance we have also been able to appreciate that it incorporates the classic Quicklace patented by the brand, to obtain an easy, fast and effective lace closure. No stitching for this trail shoe, and thermo sealed with reinforcement function, like the other shoes that the brand has presented for 2019, which completely renew its classic aesthetics to which we were accustomed. We can't forget about the GTX, that layer we all know for its effectiveness against moisture, which prevents the shoes from soaking through its entire construction.
The midsole of the SpikeCross 5 GTX will continue to feature the Energy Cell system and EVA rubber compound for lightweight and effective cushioning over any running distance. On the outside, the Contagrip outsole is used specifically for the winter version, which also incorporates 12 tungsten spikes to provide exceptional grip, especially on snowy or icy terrain, preventing any type of slippage.
