Salomon Wings Pro 2

The Wings series of Salomon Running is one of the reference models in the trail running universe. Especially for all those mountain runners looking to perform with great effectiveness in the most technical terrain. But the Salomon Wings Pro 2 goes a step further, and represents a new evolution with respect to its predecessor, the Wings Pro, because this second version is able to offer maximum safety on the routes that present more complications to the runner, resulting in that he gains more confidence.

What's new in the Salomon Wings Pro 2?

Among its main new features, the Wings Pro 2 incorporates a renewed ACS chassis. A notable improvement that gives the shoe total control of the foot on descents, since it provides the necessary grip when the slope is inclined downwards.

Another element to be highlighted is its PROFEEL sheet to increase the protection of the feet, protecting them from sharp external objects that one may encounter in the middle of a run. In addition, the inclusion of this functional safety foil does not increase the weight of the shoe.

Also worth mentioning is the reinforced SensiFit system, which ensures that the foot is securely wrapped while increasing both protection and comfort.

There are also notable changes in the sole with respect to the previous model, although the Contragrip system is maintained to increase the shoe's grip and durability. What has changed is the lug pattern, and the "V" shaped lugs have been replaced by a more trapezoid shape, in various sizes and with a medium thickness. The idea is to maintain great grip despite difficult terrain conditions.

And to make matters worse, the Salomon Wings Pro 2 is a very light trail running shoe, with a weight of 335 grams and a drop of 10 millimeters.
